The systems you work on will be required to serve traffic at global Internet scale across multiple data centers. High availability and scalability is a must. The systems you build will need to serve at high throughput with low latency. We expect you to leverage Amazon’s AWS infrastructure (S3, EC2, and other cloud technologies) to improve the customer experience. You will communicate with colleagues in the US, India, Europe, and Japan.

We are looking for outstanding Software Development Engineer who combines superb technical, communication and analytical skills. As an SDE in CN Tech team, your work will impact hundreds-of-millions of Amazon customers worldwide – not just China.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related technical discipline
• Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills (C/C++ and/or Java preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform
• Strong in web development experience and coding skills, including HTML, CSS and Javascript, etc.
• Knowledge of Perl or other scripting languages a plus
• Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases

Preferred Qualifications
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to non-technical audiences.
• Can deal well with ambiguous, undefined problems; ability to think abstractly.
• Experience in optimization mathematics (linear programming, nonlinear optimization)
• Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
• Master of latest web development techniques.
