二、 需求岗位

TITLE: Senior Engineer
BUSINESS GROUP: CE Tech Platform Dev, CEG Tech Mobile

JOB SUMMARY:
The position objective is to design and implement licensable audio technologies and provide support to internal and external customers such as OEMs and DSP implementation partners. The employee possesses skills relevant to the entire chain of algorithm development in Dolby, from research and algorithm prototyping, software and DSP implementation, to testing and quality assurance. The employee is capable of both independent and team-oriented work modes, motivating themselves and communicating effectively with peers, supervisors, other business units, and customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Lead the development of ideas for new technologies, tools or methods applicable to assigned tasks.
• Create and experiment to develop solutions to signal processing problems using tools such as Matlab.
• Understand and able to work with audio interfaces on various desktop, mobile and embedded platforms.
• Work with Research to refine and guide research deliverables.
• Write portable software in C/C++.
• Write real-time signal processing applications on various platforms.
• Create modular, reliable, efficient and readable code that adheres to Dolby standards.
• Use established software tools (design, development, debugging) and technologies (operating systems, libraries, packages) with expertise.
• Critically evaluate software designs created by the team to ensure they are fit-for-purpose.
• Identify and specify engineering and performance requirements.
• Provide assistance and expertise to other groups and internal/external customers.
• Develop and maintain key relationships within the organization.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to all levels of the organization.
• Represent the team and the Company during internal/external customer interactions.
• Research industry standards and recent advancements in signal processing.
• Analyze and model audio and voice engineering problems.
• Optimize low-level, performance-critical code on PCs and DSPs.
• Actively maintain an awareness of competitive and complementary technologies.
• Critically evaluate the operation and implementation of new audio algorithms and work with the team to ensure all algorithms are fit-for-purpose.
• Is familiar with software engineering design patterns and applies these to develop well-structured code.
• Produce and maintain accurate design documentation and code comments.
• Design and implement manual and automated tests to ensure software conforms to requirements.
• Write detailed test plans using modern software engineering techniques.
• Utilize the ear as a test tool; identify and classify signal processing errors.
• Write and maintain detailed technical documentation to ensure longevity of design.
• Stay abreast of industry software testing tools and best practices and make significant contributions to the development and deployment of new test technologies, tools or methods.
• Proficient operating audio test equipment.
• Design and conduct subjective tests to verify audio processing algorithms.
• Critically evaluate testing methodologies used by the team to ensure they are fit-for-purpose.
• Adhere to Dolby internal processes.
• Contribute to project scoping activities.
• Lead bug triaging activities.
• Effectively manage time to achieve personal and group goals.
• Demonstrate a positive and ethical work style.
• Make informed technical decisions, considering all aspects of the problem.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor degree or higher in electrical engineering or computer science or equivalent;
• Knowledge of digital signal processing techniques, including:
o Audio and voice signal coding methods;
o Basic DSP techniques such as IIR and FIR filtering;
o Transforms such as FFT, MDCT and CQMF;
o Non-linear audio processing functions, including limiters and compressors;
o Noise reduction, echo cancellation and beam forming.
• Ability to use the ear as a test tool and as part of the algorithmic development process.
• An understanding of processor architecture for signal processing applications.
• Object oriented software design skills.
• An understanding of software design and software lifecycle maintenance.
• A high level understanding of networking protocols.
• Experience with scripting languages.
• High level English written and verbal communication in both general and technology-specific applications.
• The ability to work unsupervised when required.
• Problem solving and debugging skills.
