[Summary] Responsible for cloud NLU development and research and AI/IoT applications, working as a senior or lead engineer.

[Responsibilities]
As a key NLU research and development member for various project’s requests, as well as Nuance’s roadmap:
• Deep analysis of customer requirements for realizing NLU on features;
• Architecture or module level solution design;
• Acquire and accumulate data needed to train NLU models.
• Innovate new tech/tools or use existing tools technology or to develop NLU solutions to meet project’s and product need.
• Work with development team and QA teams on deliverables and time schedule;
• Fluent English to communicate with foreign colleagues of different roles;

[Qualifications]
Required Skills: – Customer focus; – Native speaker of Chinese; – Strong Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and statistical / semantic language modeling (SLM) theoretical and practical experiences; – Team player and can be a leader; – Coach young engineers; – Good listener and communicator; – Self-motivated, strong ownership spirit and positive “can-do” attitude, well organized, and result-driven; – Self-learner, with sense of initiative, and perseverance to deliver high quality work.
Preferred Skills: – Good background in speech and language technologies, and rich speech and language application experiences in automotive and mobile phone industries; – Advanced user of Unix/Linux and Windows platforms. – Engineering practices in design, coding with Java or C/C++ or Python, and testing.

Education: Master degree or above in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, Information technology or a comparable field.
