Position: Senior Data Scientist – Catalog

About our team
Our goal is to build the best e-commerce experience for our customers. We get millions of products from sellers and we want to build a consistent experience by automatically detecting features from catalog, and enriching the catalog with structured information. We use machine learning to develop models to extract missing data from text, detect inaccuracies and fix them automatically. We strive to build efficient workflows allowing humans to apply their judgment only when necessary.
我们致力于为客户创造最好的电商体验。通过对千万级别的商品目录自动检测，按照结构化的方式识别、丰富商品目录，打造最优用户购物体验。我们会使用机器学习，自动识别商品缺失信息，检测不准确信息并予以自动修复。通过打造高效的工作流，在必要阶段，为人工干预部分商品目录信息提供便利。
Now we have 80M different products, ti will increase to 200M in 2017. it’s big challenge to standardize, merge products, and also very interest to choose best product info showing on page.
我们目前有8000万种商品，2017年会增加到2亿种。如何标准化商品信息，合并重复的商品将会是个巨大的挑战。而且如果选中最优的商品信息呈现给用户，也是非常有挑战和有趣的。

On a daily basis, we solve problems from different kinds product categories ranging from cellphone cases to fashion. We consume various sources of data such as catalog, reviews, views etc. to continually enhance the catalog. And we do all of this at scale that is growing at relentlessly.
每天，我们的系统会自动解决Coupang各个商品品类的问题，从手机壳到时尚用品。我们的系统会使用各个数据来源，比如目录，产品浏览，商品反馈等，来持续提升商品目录质量。

We are building our DS team to help us improve product info quality – attributions, image etc. You will be working on hardest problems of informational retrieval and machine learning, operating with large data sets and building platforms that will help us scale. You will research problems and build high quality, architecturally sound systems that solve those problems. We will use machine learning, data mining, data analysis and NLP to improve whole catalog platform data quality, while bringing value to customers iteratively.
我们正在建立data science团队，来帮助我们提升商品信息质量，包括商品title，attribute和图片等。您将会迎接在信息识别、收集，机器学习等多方面最有趣和挑战性的问题；也会帮助Coupang catalog迎接大数据量和搭建新平台的挑战。您也将会研究并打造高质量商品目录架构。我们将使用机器学习，数据挖掘，NLP等提升整个商品目录平台的数据质量，并对客户不断带来价值。
