Research Scientist on NLP

Intel Labs China is looking for passionate, hard-working, and talented Research Scientists for natural language processing and machine learning on Intel computing platforms. The candidate must demonstrate outstanding research background and experiences in the natural language processing and machine learning areas, and passionate about researching natural language understanding techniques and building innovative applications.

Besides technical expertise, the candidate must exhibit ability to work in a highly cross-functional and collaborative corporate environment. The person must demonstrate the dedication and commitment to creative problem solving and getting things done while enjoying teamwork to arrive at solutions for critical problems.

Basic Qualifications
PhD Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field or Master’s Degree with 3~5 years’ experience.
Deep theoretical knowledge and hands-on experiences in natural language processing and machine learning.
Proven experience in natural language understanding/generation, morphological segmentation, part-of-speech tagging, parsing, semantic processing etc. Solid research track record with peer-reviewed publications in top academic conferences and journals in the related areas.
Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
Strong C/C++ programming skills
Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts.

Plus Qualifications
Development experience on Linux platforms and mobile devices (Android, etc).
Experiences in large-scale machine learning system developing
Performance optimization using SIMD, OpenMP, MPI, CUDA, etc.
Experience in developing algorithms to solve real-world problems.
