We are looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer Lead with experience in building large scale systems software for OSG Universal Store service. Our team leverages fundamental building blocks like Windows Azure and SQL Azure and various Microsoft cloud services to build XBOX, Windows and Windows Phone Services to drive business for our division. Millions of users worldwide expect these services to work flawlessly and be there for them to use wherever they are. You must have experience in working at the core storage and systems layer in a server or services team. You need to be passionate about availability, scalability, reliability, security and low latency. Ability to provide technical leadership and team leadership on a high performance development team building V1 cloud services is critical. Experience working with super large scale distributed services is essential.

Responsibilities:
o Solve complex distributed computing problems and architect solutions to scale.
o Prototype and incubate solutions.
o Build massively scalable and high performance solutions with a distinguished level of quality.

o Collaborate with other product teams to design and implement new features and services from inception and design through development, deployment and beyond.

Successful candidates must have:
o 8+ years of relevant software design and development experience on shipped server products or cloud services.
o 2+ years Software Development team lead and management experience
o BS in Computer Science or equivalent
o Demonstrated experience working on a high performance development team.
o Proven experience of working through the full product cycle from initial design to final product.
o Outstanding technical problem solving skills.
o Experience writing performance-critical code.
o Solid written and verbal communications skills.
o Excellent debugging skills required.
o A proven track record of shipping quality products on time.
o Experience designing and implementing scalable distributed services or experience designing and implementing large scale server applications.
Desired Qualifications:
o Hands on experience applying Test Driven Development required to build high quality unit tests
o Excellent and pragmatic independent judgment, strong communication skills and the ability to approach problems from the customer’s perspective.
o Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and often ambiguous V1 product environment.
o A MSc in Computer Science or equivalent
