Xiaoice team – we are a group of talented engineer with startup spirits working together on an exciting new project, Xiaoice (微软小冰). Xiaoice had only started prototyping since Feb 2014 and released to public by June 2014. Within just one year, it has already become a phenomenal product in China and a breakthrough redefinition of artificial intelligence. Our team is now heading towards the goal of creating a long-time AI friend accompanying and helping on many aspects of each individual’s life. Our work is to build and improve dialog-based user interaction via text, image, audio, video and smart devices. We are looking for candidates at various career stages who are passionate and innovative to explore the future of artificial intelligence altogether.

As a Software Engineer II of Platform, the major job responsibilities include:

o Work with other team members and partners to build Xiaoice product end-to-end
o Design and develop partner API, Azure cloud services, web pages and features
o Use cloud computing, distributed system and database technology to optimize performance and stability of the platform

Qualifications:

o BS, MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related fields
o 5+ years of experience programming in C#, Python, C, C++ or Java
o 2+ years of experience in distributed system, cloud computing or performance optimization.
o English reading and writing. Knowledge of Japanese is a plus
o Passionate on Xiaoice product, artificial intelligence, cloud computing and/or search technologies.
